In the afternoon of January 08, 2014, H.E Governor PA Socheatevong led the technical officers of Capital Hall to inspect the renovation work of Veng Sreng Road and Ou Deum-Kob Srov Road which were being constructed by steel-bar concrete aiming to ask the contractors to properly ensure technical standard and good quality. During the visit, H.E Governor PA Socheatevong had mentioned that in 2014, the Capital Hall would work on drainage improvement as its priority to divert rain water out from the City. Then, road renovation would come next since drainage/sewage system installed. This would ensure good quality of the road for long term use.
Veng Sreng, a 6,500m road starting from Sokhimex Gasoline Station in Dangkor District to Chaom Chao Rountabout was constructed since November 21, 2013 by 0.2m steel-bar concrete pavement with dimension of 22m width and total of 14,300 m2, 6 lanes, with a 2.5m park along the middle of the road and with sidewalk of 3m each; this would cost about 10.576.000 USD. Up to now, the road had been concreted and this renovation work would make people living along feel really pleased as well.
After inspecting the renovation work of Veng Sreng Road, H.E Governor had continued his visit to check Ou Deum-Kob Srov Road. A 4.043m, 11m width with 0.2m height road was steel-bar concrete paved by crossing Chaom Chao Commune, Trapaing Krosaing Commune and Samrong Krom Commune of Por Senchey District. This road was commenced its rehabilitation work once since late 2010 by DBST but it was seriously damaged due to heavy trucks and equipments; thus the Capital Hall decided to rebuild again by steel-bar concrete with 3 phases: 1st step starting from NR 1 to Samrong Station with dimension of 11m width and 0.2m hieght, 2nd step, from Samrong Station to Ly Yong Phat Bridge and the 3rd by increasing its width to 60m as its final stage and this road would be able to accommodate heavy equipment/trucks up to 30 tons. Up to now, this road was about 40% under construction. Then, H.E Governor had continued his trip to check drainage/sewage system and Toul Sampov Pumping Station located in Por Senchey District which was being under construction.
