The 54th Capital Council Meeting

The 1st Mandate’s Council convened the 54th meeting at the Capital Hall on the morning of 25th November 2013 with the presence of H.E Mob Sarin, President of the Council Board to chair the discussion.
The meeting had approved the usual agenda such as:

  • Meeting’s agenda with vote counted 20 over 20.
  • First agenda: approved on the 53th meeting minute held on 31th of October 2013 with the vote counted 20 over 20.
  • Second agenda: listened to the 3 months (Oct Nov Dec 2013) progress report read by Mr. Koeut Chhe director of administration.
  • Third agenda: listened to and unanimously approved the proposal of 5 new district establishment which presented by Mr. Sin Boramy director of urbanization division.
  • Fourth agenda: unanimously approved on the establishment of the procurement committee of Phnom Penh capital hall administration with 19 over 20 counted.

Moreover, the meeting also discussed appealed to the governor about several other aspects toward the city dvelopments such as:

  1. To use peaceful approach in order to calm any demonstration in the future.
  2. Regarding the public parking fee at markets which irregularly implemented by making people over paid compared to the contract.
  3. Regarding the people violating public parking space around the Olympic market by using them as their own private business purpose instead.
  4. Measurement toward heavy trucks access into the city must be further reenforced.
  5. The meeting also asked the authority to employ its personnel to explain to the people that unlawfully build their house shade over the road along Stoeung Mean Cheay area. Such action could cause traffic congestion as people do not have enough road access.
  6. Lastly the council board also asked the capital administration to carefully plan the new districts proposal before submit to the ministry of interior.

In response to the above mentioned concerns, H.E Governor also explained to the meeting that the authority would like to thank for all the suggestions and criticisms and that the authority has been trying its best to execute its duties and would take all the suggestion to improve its future actions.

Finally, H.E Mob Sarin thanked the participants for their presences to the meeting and he informed the next meeting would be held on the 26th of December 2013 at the same place.
