Public Forum in 7 Makara District

In the morning of October 19, 2013, at 7 Makara District Office, the Capital Council hold a public hearing with local citizens within that district under chairmanship of H.E MAP Sarin, President of Capital Council and H.E SENG Rattanak, Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh with participation of Capital officers, staff of Communes and District of 7 Makara District as well as local citizens. This was an important gathering because citizens and authority could meet up and discuss the concerned issues related to security and local development, mentioned H.E MAP Sarin, Capital Council Presient. Moreover, he had appealed this forum to be a culture of discussion for solution and would be done continuously with self responsibility.

Many questions and suggestions were raised for proper solution from authority, especially about waste collection, dranaige/sewage system, damaged road, gangster, drugs, road violation for self business, security, public order and money collected from students by the teachers… etc. The requests were raised straight forwards while those issues were occured in place for countermeasure from authority not to delay any more. After listening to citizens, H.E SENG Rattanak, Deputy Governor had mentioned that every verbal and written requests would be put into the 3 rolling investment plan of the Capital Council.
